We are seeking experienced Security Officers to perform a high-profile role in safe-guarding Critical Infrastructure Data Centre in Quartier Miroir – Bujumbura. This is a critical frontline role where professionalism, vigilance and integrity are essential.
About the role
The security team in this location play an important role in ensuring that the clients data integrity is always maintained. As the first point of contact for visitors and contractors entering these locations you will set the tone; delivering a professional and welcoming experience whilst upholding strict security protocols.
Job Location: Quartier Miroir – Bujumbura, Burundi
Contract: Casual opportunity
Pay Rate: SSIA Level 4
Shift Pattern: Ability to work rotating day and nights shifts of 12 hours
Key responsibilities:
Primary duties include and not limited to:
- screening visitors & equipment to and from the secure area.
- provision of exemplary customer service, with some administrative tasks.
- ensuring adherence to all site security procedures, policies and access control requirements
- identifying and preventing prohibited items from being introduced to or removed from secure areas
- issuing, monitoring and auditing visitor and contractor security passes in line with site protocols
- raising, updating and managing access requests using client security systems and software
- completing regular patrols of assigned areas and reporting hazards or incidents to the regional control room
- responding to, escalating and documenting incidents with clear, accurate written reports and daily activity logs
- communicating effectively via two-way radio and following command-and-control
